Disney CEO Says The Mandalorian’s 2nd Season Won’t be Delayed

Due to the lockdown going on all around the world, production across the world has currently stopped. Popular film studios such as Disney are getting lots of queries from the people about whether the TV shows and movies will release on time.

Recently when people asked about it from Disney, the CEO said that one show that will not face any delay is The Mandalorian. It is one of the most successful TV series by Disney, and fans are waiting for its anticipating second season.

According to Disney’s CEO, just similar to MCU’s Black Widow, production for The Mandalorian is already wrapped up before the lockdown begun in most nations. However, the post-production is under process these days for the program.

Most post-production can easily be accomplished remotely, and the producing team is currently working on it. Chapek, the CEO of Disney, said that there would be no delay issues with the second season of Mandalorian. Since the epidemic began, the Star Wars fans were worrying so possible about the release date of the second season. It is good news for Star Wars fans as now they can watch the second season on the time without any delay.

However, the bad news for Marvel fans is that WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be delayed. There were already some production issues with the most anticipating show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, due to on-location issues.

There is no confirmation when these Marvel Cinematic Universe shows will release in the future. The falcon and the Winter Soldier, as well as WandaVision, were planned to release in August and December correspondingly. Disney’s CEO is presently not responding to the comments in the status of these MCU shows.

However, Chapek reacted to the comment after The Hollywood reported stated that Boba Fett could return in the second season. This character became popular in the original Star Wars trilogy portrayed by the star Temuera Morrison.

Old Start Wars fans would identify Morrison as the star who portrayed Jango Fett, father of Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones.

In case the shows’ release dates are pushed back, Disney Plus will continue without new attractive shows that are not for kids. This will temp new subscribers and keep up the pace of old subscribers as well. In November 2020, most one-year contracts of Disney Plus will end, involving the users that signed up with Verizon.

It could be a challenge for Disney to maintain the users’ excitement and interest for the end of this year as many projects will be finished. We still don’t have the exact release date for Mandalorian’s second season in the month of October. According to Chapek, the particular release date will be declared in the upcoming months.

Disney Plus is one of the best streaming services, and it has too many exclusive titles that stand it out from the crowd, such as it has several TV series and films that are exclusive for Disney Plus service only. Moreover, it released a few movies during the lockdown to keep the fans entertained even while people can’t visit the cinema.
